Leaving your dog in the care of others is always a hard prospect to deal with, especially when that dog is more than just a pet, it’s part of your family.

Whilst you’re working, away on holiday, or just need some time to yourself; at Jack’s Pad, your dog will be socialised, exercised, stimulated, and above all loved whilst in our care.

I’m Jan and I’m the owner and operator of Jack's Pad which has been operating since 2015

We offer a premium service based in Crouch End N8, North London. We are fully insured and First Aid Trained.

Catering for all your dog’s needs is extremely important and I will always make sure they're relaxed and happy during their time in my care. 

Having owned dogs throughout my life, I am well aware of how hard it can be to find someone you trust to look after the needs of your dog. 

Rest assured, love and care is in abundance at Jack's Pad.

Services & Rates

Jack’s Pad provides a bespoke daycare and home boarding service.

Daycare operates Monday - Friday.

We offer Country Park Adventure walks/half daycare with extended daycare options depending on your needs

The dogs are picked up in the morning and taken to Trent Country Park.

This countryside setting provides a wonderful mixture of woodland and meadows to run, play and stimulate your dog’s senses plus a variety of ponds and streams to cool off & splash about in. 

Your dog will then be delivered home in the afternoon relaxed and happy after a fun-filled day spent with friends.

Extended options are available for those dogs needing later care.

Boarding dogs in our care enjoy all the midweek daycare activities.

On the weekends we like to explore other green spaces in and around the London area and beyond as a change.

The areas we cover for pick up and drop off:

 Crouch End N8, N6. N4. Stroud Green N4. Hornsey N19. Highgate N6. Muswell Hill N10.

(please note that we try and make sure the dogs have limited car time during pick-up and drop-offs, so the areas covered will be decided on a client by client basis)

I just wanted to write my wholehearted recommendation to Jack's Pad dog walking. I hope it's ok - but I am so happy with the service I can not keep quiet.:) I had to go away to see my mum who is ill and my husband is on crutches at the moment. Our gorgeous rescue Lizzie is an absolute sweetheart but she can be nervous around other dogs and groups of people. Jan has transformed her into a happy playful pack dog with a big smile and a wagging tail:) Thank you so much! Really could not recommend her more! My dog Buddy goes to Jack’s pad for both day care and boarding. Buddy loves going and gets very excited when he sees both Jan and her dog Jack who he thinks is his best friend! Jack is a very good stable influence with his gentle calm character and Jan treats every dog I’ve seen her with as if they were her own. I think Buddy is disappointed to come home!

I brought my baby Sophie over to London from the States. I would have never been able to do so if I didn’t have Jan to look after her while I worked. Despite working odd shift hours, Jan was always accommodating to me. I always felt comfortable having Sophie with Jan. I would often get jealous of Sophie (and Jan!) while I was at work because Jan would send me photos and videos of their outings in Hampstead Heath and Brent Park. Sophie at the end of the day was always happy, but tired out from the day of playing with her doggie friends. I’d suggest Jan to anyone looking for excellent doggie care!

I have known Jan for several years and was thrilled when she set up Jack’s Pad at the same time as we got our gorgeous Cockapoo Tuppence. Tupps just loves Jan and Jack, her walks on the heath and her sleepovers. She comes back exhilarated, tired - and very happy. Jack is wonderfully paternal and he and Jan really look after their charges - as well as teaching them very good habits! As a freelancer my timetable can be somewhat unpredictable and I love the fact that Jan is flexible and endlessly enthusiastic. Come rain or shine she is out on the heath and loving every moment. I’m certainly going to spread the word about Jack’s Pad!

Jan at Jack's Pad is brilliant. My dog Ruby is always so excited to see her, mainly because she knows she's about to get a really good long romp around Hampstead Heath with the other dog's Jan looks after. I have used Jack's Pad for dog walking, daycare and also for boarding, and I am always really confident that Ruby is getting the very best care out there, and the fact that Jan picks her up and drops her off is massively helpful. I have used other dog walking services in the past and Jan is just a level above them all. I can't recommend her enough

Jan was Toby’s puppy godmother! ( and my saviour! ) we were relocating away from London while Toby was only a very small pup. Jan and Jack were so incredibly kind to both of us, so understanding of Toby’s needs ( mainly constant cuddling ) and my ever changing schedule as moving is never straight forward. Jan was so flexible and kind it made the whole experience so much less stressful! Toby had never been away from us yet after a few days of taking him to Jan, he would start getting excited as soon as we turned into her street! we cant begin to thank Jan and Jack enough for looking after Toby and even though we now live outside of london i would never want to go to anyone else to help look after Toby, and i’m sure Toby will agree!

 JACK’S PAD TERMS & CONDITIONS

1.      All clients will be deemed to have accepted Jack’s Pad terms and conditions (as laid out here) on signature of the booking and registration forms.

2.      Jack’s Pad will not confirm any booking until a registration form has been submitted, accepted and reviewed by the company and a meet and greet has taken place.

3.      Full payment for services (agreed either at time of booking or subsequently) is to be made immediately on receipt of the invoice via cash or bank transfer.

4.      Jack’s Pad retains the right to move days around at short notice for any daycare dog who uses Jack’s Pad services less than 3 times a week (notice will be given within 24hrs).

5.      A 50% deposit is required in advance for all boarding bookings.

6.      Boarding cancellations: A period of one month’s notice is required for boarding. If the required notice is not given charges will be applied in full for the cancelled period. 

7.      Full and half day care cancellations will incur 100% charge for less than 48 hours’ notice.

8.      The client must provide all items necessary for your dog to be adequately cared for in the client's absence. (e.g. food, medication, harness and collars – we provide our own personalized Jack’s Pad name tags – we also have our own leads). Should your dog require any additional supplies whilst in the care of Jack’s Pad, these will be purchased and added to the bill.

9.      Suitable harnesses should be provided by the owner for car journeys and any lead walking.

10.    Whilst Jack’s Pad is aware accidents can happen; dogs must be fully house trained before being placed in our care.

11.    The client must provide Jack’s Pad with the name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision relating to the dog(s) in an emergency. The client must also provide up to date veterinary details and medical history for use in such an emergency. If the contact is not available Jack’s Pad reserve the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and make a decision that is in the best interests of the animal.

12.    The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, whilst pets are in the care of Jack’s Pad.

13.    Jack’s Pad must be alerted to any behavioural problems with your pets in the registration form and at the time of the meet and greet. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of any future contract. Jack’s Pad will not take boisterous dogs that have no etiquette or training in the home or outside on the walks.

14.    Whilst Jack’s Pad holds Public Liability insurance; Jack’s Pad reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal that has aggression issues around other dogs, separation anxiety such as barking and being destructive in the house and issues with recall (this can be not coming back immediately when called on walks).

15.    Jack’s Pad will care for your animal as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, Jack’s Pad cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.

16.    If your dog pulls on lead, then you are required to provide a suitable harness.

17.    Jack’s Pad reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time & with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well within the care of Jack’s Pad.

18.    All clients will have to sign an Off Lead Consent Form before Jack’s Pad takes responsibility of your dog.

19.    Jack’s Pad will apply personal judgment and cut short a walk if necessary, because of extreme weather conditions (e.g. high winds, excessive heat, thunder storms, snow and icy conditions) for the safety of both the dogs and the carer

20.    If you are using the boarding service with Jack’s Pad, a paid night’s trial must be undertaken before Jacks Pad can book your dog. This is to ensure your dog is happy in his/her surroundings whilst away from home.
